The position of Failure Analysis Engineer (f/m/d) will be responsible for planning and executing analysis requests on our semiconductor products. The individual will drive projects to improve our lab capabilities towards chip analytics and handle state-of-the-art equipment like microscopes, 3D-CT scanner, and SEM/FIB. The candidate will get intensive training on our unique and broad product portfolio.

About the job:

  • You will be responsible for planning and executing analysis projects.
  • The focus will be module module-level analysis.
  • Secondary focus will lay on chip-level analysis.
  • These FA analyses will be worked on within the given time constraints.
  • As an Engineer, you will implement new equipment & processes to improve our lab capabilities.
  • This includes planning and supervision of installation & qualification.
  • You will communicate internally with Quality, R&D, FAE, and Process engineering to:
  • Discuss analysis strategies.
  • Present FA results.
  • In the FA team, you will provide technical leadership in product as well as in equipment-related topics.

About you:

  • University degree in Engineering: Materials science, Electrical or Physics, Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, or comparable.
  • 0-1 year of experience in quality or process (ideally in semiconductor failure
  • analysis)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good communication skills within the organization
  • Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
  • Confident handling of MS-Office applications
  • Detail-oriented and team-oriented way of working.
  • Strive for excellence and focus on customer needs.
  • Beneficial is experience in the following fields: Optical microscopy, electrical characterization, XRAY, SEM, EDX, FIB, SRP, CSAM, Hot Spot (OBIRCH, ELITE), chemical decapsulation.
