The generic term Project Manager (PM) covers the positions or the resource codes of Project Director (PD), Senior Project Manager (SPM), and Project Manager.
The Project Manager is the nominated E&C representative for a project from contract award up to execution of a close-out agreement with the client and is authorized to undertake contractual commitment (limits as specified separately) on behalf of the relevant E&C entity.
The Project Manager has the overall management responsibility to deliver the project on time, cost and quality with the highest priority on safety. In his/her capacity as the Project Manager, he/she has the greatest influence on the project and where possible, the PM should be involved in the project even before contract award..
The PM´s mission is the optimization of all project-related results by effective project and contract management.
In order to achieve that mission, the project manager will demonstrate leadership and ensure the following:
Establish and lead a multi-disciplined and multi-national EPC or EP project organization in order to execute projects from contract award to close-out, targeting highest safety and quality standards, on schedule and on budget delivery and ensures contractual obligations are met.
Project execution: Establishes and updates project execution plans, manages overall project services, implements project management systems, manages project teams, identifies risks and opportunities, reports to management, leads lesson learned meetings, and handles project close-out.
Plan, organize, manage, oversee and direct multi-disciplined team consisting of QHSES, Engineering, Procurement, Project controls, Construction management, Vendors / Subcontractors, etc to deliver EP and EPC projects from basic design through detailed design, procurement, construction, startup and commissioning, hand over, and contract close-out.
Support proposals on occasions with project execution plans, including organization, schedule, construction and subcontracting plans, value engineering, risk management, contractual and qualifications, etc and reviews technical proposals.
Ensure the efficient and cost-effective utilization of staff
Trouble shooting and anticipation and mitigation of risks.
Develop project execution plans for projects and establish critical project objectives.
Capitalization of projects
Manages contracts with clients and partners, and maintains client relationships.

Performs safety reviews and ensures follow-up of safety recommendations
Lead by example and implement safety relevant principles, standards, rules and procedures together with HSES team.

2 - Quality
COPQ less than 6.5% of the P2 Contract Value
Number of Non Conformity and ensure closure.
Prepares, issues and up-dates the Project Quality Plan, ensures compliance with its requirements
Open, controls and follows-up on the treatment of non conformity.
Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
When a dangerous situation arises due to restrictions or problems, Respond promptly and minimize the risk.
