THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The Product Design Manager is responsible for defining design guidelines, visual direction, and usability standards while incorporating our brand vision in partnership with the Senior Manager, Product Design. While this role supports both web and app (iOS & Android), it will have a particular emphasis on leading the design strategy and execution for our mobile app experiences, ensuring we deliver best-in-class, guest-centered digital solutions.

This role is critical in building, maintaining and growing products across the company, with a strong focus on shaping our app experience. The Product Design Manager will also support the growth of design talent, team structure, and operational efficiency—including hiring, process improvement, and design operations. They will collaborate closely with partners across our Design system and design team, eCommerce, IT, Brand Marketing, Loyalty and third-party vendors.

They are pivotal to driving innovative, forward-thinking design and setting a high bar for mobile-first creativity and team culture. Designers will look to this role for mentorship, guidance, and elevated product thinking—especially around app-based interactions.

The Product Design Manager will manage a team of 3+ full-time/contract designers.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, inspire, and mentor designers—ensuring growth and success while delivering compelling, mobile-first and on-brand design solutions
  • Review and elevate the quality of design output, with a focus onnative mobile app experiences (iOS and Android), as well as web and emerging screen formats
  • Ensure design consistency and alignment across the app, working with internal and external teams to maintain a cohesive experience
  • Partner with app product manager, product owners, mobile engineers and digital channel leads to define goals, shape app roadmap priorities, and influence design direction
  • Stay current on mobile UX/UI trends, platform guidelines, and technological advancements that can enhance our app experience
  • Provide creative design direction and storytelling across typography, motion, photography and interaction design—especially tailored for app formats
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding of new team members
  • Bring structure and rigor to the app design workflow; anticipate resourcing needs and timing conflicts
  • Collaborate across teams to shape app-centric funnels, interactive content modules and personalized experiences
  • Leverage mobile-specific data and performance insights to inform design iterations and user experience improvements
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Design System with a mobile-first mindset
  • Ensure high quality through QA/UAT across new and existing app features
  • Explore and integrate app-forward technologies including AR and AI

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 3+ years of experience managing or leading design teams
  • 8–10+ years of experience in product and UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasingmobile app design (iOS/Android) as a core strength
  • BS/BA degree in design, technology, psychology, human factors or HCI is preferred.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Figma and other collaboration tools
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks and coding languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, Bootstrap, PHP) is a plus
  • Hands-on experience working in agile environments
  • Previous experience in e-commerce or mobile-first tech environments is preferred
  • Porftio required showcing App design

The pay range for this position is $102,900.00 - $155,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
