We are looking for a dynamic Global Space Planning & Real Estate Project Manager based out of our Conshohocken, PA office to lead master planning initiatives across our worldwide portfolio and ensure our spaces align with business needs, regulatory requirements, and cultural nuances
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic master planning for all locations, fostering collaboration across departments to align workspace decisions with business goals.
- Develop and implement a global space planning strategy that ensures consistency across the company’s office portfolio while allowing flexibility for regional needs, regulatory requirements, and cultural differences.
- Continuously analyze space usage data from multiple sources to identify trends, optimize utilization, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Proactively monitor space efficiency, addressing deficiencies with creative, data-driven solutions that support business objectives and future growth.
- Create test fits, furniture layouts, blocking plans, and stack plans to ensure seamless space planning and optimal functionality.
- Oversee and coordinate all real estate and facilities projects globally, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and operational needs.
- Partner closely with business units and project teams to understand functional requirements, translating them into effective space solutions.
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to integrate business priorities into workplace environments and new real estate projects.
- Lead and manage real estate project managers, providing direction, support, and oversight to drive successful outcomes.
- Define, control, and monitor budgets and timelines, ensuring all real estate and space planning initiatives are delivered on schedule and within financial parameters.
- Develop and implement efficient project tracking mechanisms, providing stakeholders with timely updates while managing risks to budgets and timelines.
- Drive process improvement by challenging existing systems, technologies, and methodologies to maximize efficiency and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Contribute to capital planning efforts, assisting in long-term strategy development for real estate and facilities investments.
- Prepare and oversee capital budgets, tracking expenditures and providing leadership with regular financial insights.
- Establish and uphold standards for design, project management, and space planning to ensure consistency and excellence across all locations.
- Optimize space planning tools and software, ensuring accurate data governance within the CAFM/IWMS system to enhance decision-making.
- Support site selection, feasibility studies, and lease negotiations, guiding real estate decisions that align with business expansion and operational needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration or related field
- 8+ years of experience in space planning and project management
- Experience working with vendors and external contacts
- Experience with AutoCAD/CAFM
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet critical deadlines
- Proven problem solving and financial analysis skills
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills
- Proven communication and presentation skills
- Experience with a global engineering and/or technical company is highly desirable
