Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

This position supports the Process Engineering team with recent changes to materials used in coatings. The role involves process design for mechanisms to pick up rollers, creating new procedures for rollers, and designing carts to move materials. Additionally, you will write new procedures for operators and provide them with training. Other duties may include line optimization, statistical analysis, and assisting with new PPAP documentation for over 100 parts.

Responsibilities

  • Design processes for mechanisms to pick up rollers.
  • Create and implement new procedures for rollers.
  • Design carts for material transportation.
  • Draft procedures for operators and conduct training sessions.
  • Optimize production lines and perform statistical analysis.
  • Assist with the development of new PPAP documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years in manufacturing engineering

  • Automotive experience (Ford, GM)
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Stamping experience

Work Environment

The company specializes in stamping and gaskets. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required on the production floor, including safety shoes, sleeves, and safety glasses. This role is a contract position approved through March 2026, with potential for a full-time opportunity. It offers a valuable experience in the automotive and heavy industrial industries.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $48.00/hr.
