Responsibilities

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

This position is housed in the Northside Hospital Gwinnett Float Pool and offers the opportunity to care for a variety of patient populations. Our team enjoys self-scheduling!

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

1. Listed on the Georgia Registry as a Certified Nursing Assistant
2. One (1) year of experience as a Patient Care Technician
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
