About the Role
In this role, you will identify and communicate analytics related to Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) optimization.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Product Development and Strategic Sourcing teams on Kohl’s highest-priority sourcing projects
- Work in cross-functional teams to extract, clean and prepare data and present findings to stakeholders
- Leverage a suite of analytics tools to analyze spend and pricing data to identify spend optimization and cost reduction opportunities
- Independently identify key insights from analyses, cutting through large amounts of data to quickly identify trends and implications on the sourcing strategy approach
- Translate analysis into insights, reporting on findings to senior leadership and using analyses to help the sourcing team prepare for critical vendor negotiations and overall company decision-making initiatives
- Analyze bid results from vendors and help develop negotiation strategy based on internal and external sources of information
- Additional tasks may be assigned
What Skills You Have
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Finance or other quantitative field
- 4+ years of analytics and insights experience
- Advanced skills in Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau and SQL or equivalent analytics programs
- Modeling experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate analysis into insights and build reports for leadership teams
- Experience presenting complex data analysis to mid-level management and above
Preferred
- Master’s Degree or equivalent
- Experience with purchasing or supply chain management in the apparel and home goods industry
- Alteryx programming skills
- Retail knowledge
For NY based applicants only, the pay range is $88,900-$151,100
