SBM is looking for a Senior Engineer

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for hands-on development using Django, Python, SQL, and Postgres, with a focus on performance tuning. This individual will help guide the development of the 4Insite Platform.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Lead the technical development of the 4Insite Platform.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using Django, Python, SQL, and Postgres.
• Optimize database performance and ensure high system reliability.
• Should have worked on AWS.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop robust solutions. Implement AI-driven functionalities and automation features where applicable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Mentor and guide the development team, ensuring best coding practices and system architecture. Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned."

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and automation.

Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Background in optimizing high-performance applications.

Experience with AI capabilities and programming is a strong plus.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

May be required to have a valid driver’s license.

Data engineer certification is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong experience in Django, Python, SQL, and Postgres.

Expertise in database performance tuning and system optimization.

Proven ability to solve complex problems efficiently.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and project management.

A calming and composed demeanor when handling challenges and guiding teams.

Passion for technology, coding, and continuous learning.

Compensation: Depends on Experience
