Job description:
Responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to employees for a range of hardware and software related systems. Responds to and diagnoses problems through discussion with users, which includes trouble shooting, trouble resolution and problem escalation. Provides effective and timely resolution of users’ problems, queries or complaints.
Job Responsibilities
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Address issues both face-to-face and remotely
- Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware issues (Windows and Mac)
- Resolve and/or replace faulty hardware
- Document all hardware distributed, following approved processes
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
- Support the deployment of new applications
- Set up new user accounts/profiles and deal with password issues
- Respond and close tickets within approved SLA
- Work continuously on tasks until completion
- Prioritize and manage many open cases at once
- Rapidly establish a good working relationship with employees, executives, and teammates
- Document ticket resolutions in provided ITSM tool
Job Qualifications
- Attention to detail
- Excellent ability to present ideas in a professional manner
- Possess excellent telephone, verbal, writing, and organizational skills
- This position can include early mornings or late nights depending on severity of issue and workload. Occasional weekend work required
- Proficiency with Microsoft products and Active Directory structure and operational procedures
- Proficiency with Apple products and software
Requirements:
- Strong team and people skills required.
- Ability to work in a group and individually.
- Solid understanding of computers
- Solid understanding of Microsoft O365 Software
- Exceptional attendance required
- The candidate must be highly self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Associates (2-year) degree, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications are not required, but preference will be given to the following certifications:
- A+
- Network +
- Microsoft O365
