Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of Cross Domain Service, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Spearhead incident response and postmortem analysis, driving the development of robust solutions to prevent future incidents and improve overall system resilience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align systems architecture with business objectives, security standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Champion automation initiatives to streamline manual tasks, enhance operational efficiency, and accelerate deployment pipelines, driving innovation and excellence.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Develop and refine monitoring, alerting, and logging practices to enable proactive issue detection and resolution, ensuring high system availability and reliability.
• Contribute to strategic planning for infrastructure upgrades, technology adoption, and innovation, driving the team's technical vision and roadmap.
• Ensure adherence to stringent security, regulatory, and operational standards, including ITAR, NIST, and FIPS, safeguarding sensitive data and systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, driving initiatives to improve team velocity, operational maturity, and overall delivery excellence.
• Provide technical thought leadership and subject matter expertise on Site Reliability Engineering best practices, shaping the team's technical direction and expertise.

Required Skills

• MUST POSSESS US CITIZENSHIP AND ACTIVE TS/SCI w/POLY SECURITY CLEARANCE.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Linux systems, including advanced troubleshooting, optimization, and configuration management.
• Proficiency a programming and scripting language, such as Python, Go, and Bash, with a strong understanding of software development best practices.
• Expertise in configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools, including Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet, with a strong focus on automation and efficiency.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies, with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• In-depth knowledge of monitoring and logging systems, including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack, with the ability to design and implement effective monitoring and alerting systems.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes, with a strong understanding of containerized application deployment and management.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Understanding of cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, and Azure, as well as hybrid cloud architectures and migration strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and resolve issues efficiently.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, articulate technical concepts, and drive technical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions, including their operational and security requirements, and experience working with similar technologies.
• Experience working in regulated environments, such as those requiring compliance with ITAR, NIST, or similar standards, with a strong understanding of security and compliance best practices.
• Advanced networking knowledge, including routing, firewalls, and secure data transfer protocols, with a strong understanding of network architecture and security.
• Expertise in high-availability architectures and disaster recovery planning, with a strong understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery principles.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
