Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Production Superintendent who will be based, and have responsibility, for our two ASU facilities in Texas City TX. The Production Superintendent will be responsible for directing, planning and leading operations in the areas of production and maintenance at both Texas City ASU facilities to ensure the required business objectives and strategies for the U.S. Industrial Gases Business are met in a safe and environmentally compliant manner. The Production Superintendent will have both operations and maintenance direct report and report directly to the Plant Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand and strictly adhere to company safety work policies and operating practices.
  • Report safety incidents, near misses, and support a positive safety culture.
  • Support production KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and work towards achieving these goals.
  • Monitor product purity, inventory, and other process indications for abnormalities.
  • Takes a leadership role in creation and oversight of productivity optimization.
  • Works with management on more complex or unusual assignments.
  • Monitors external/internal trends, develops procedures, makes judgments and takes organization-wide actions that set precedents.
  • Focuses on planning and execution for current year.
  • Staff, train, coach, and administer performance reviews, salary increases and corrective action of subordinate employees.
  • Works across all levels of Linde organizations to achieve desired results into a cohesive and effective management team.
  • Act as primary interface for the Texas City ASU’s, coordinating and facilitating activities

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree -or- 10+ years’ experience in an industrial production environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associate in Applied Sciences Degree or equivalent apprenticeship preferred.
  • Previous experience in a continuous chemical operation environment preferred.
  • Motivated, self-starter capable of effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Relevant computer and technical skills
  • Must be able to work off hours, weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Must have good, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job:
    • Lift 50 pounds.
    • Climb stairs and ladders.
    • Work in tight and closed spaces.
    • Be able to wear all required personal protective equipment.
    • Qualify and wear a full-face respirator.
