Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible for coordinating the daily activities within the Manufacturing Site’s Microbiology / Chemistry / Incoming / Solution and Monomer Laboratory sections in alignment with the area Supervisor to assure each section process flow in compliance with Company and regulatory agencies quality regulations and procedures. Complies with good laboratory practices and QSR, ISO 13485 and safety and environmental regulations.

  • Strong leadership skills and Teamwork oriented.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills. Laboratory Process Flow Position Description 2 Good communication skills.
  • Work under minimum supervision.
  • Able to work overtime if necessary.
  • Ability to read writes and comprehends instructions in both languages English/Spanish.
  • Advance mathematics skills (i.e., average, rounding rules, multiply, divide, add, subtract, percentage, linear regression, standard deviation, relative standard deviation etc.).
  • Basic Computer skills (i.e., excel, word, power point)

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of experience in a Quality Laboratory and or microbiology /chemistry laboratory.
  • Prefer at least one (1) year of experience in a medical device industry (desirable): Quality Laboratory, microbiology laboratory equipment (Incubators, autoclave, air sampler, pH, colony counter, etc.). Quality Assurance Laboratory.
  • Experience in equipment as pH meter, conductivity meter, osmometer, TOC, titrations, others.
  • GLP knowledge is a must

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Science Microbiologist or Chemist.
  • Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Quality Studies with one (1) year of experience (preferable).
