Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

  • Exciting opportunity within Versant’s Programming finance team supporting USA, E!, SYFY, and Oxygen. The Financial Analyst will report into the Manager of Content Finance, and partner with leaders across various departments including Scheduling, Acquisitions, Controllership, Business Affairs, Creative, and Finance Senior Management. This position will provide traditional operational finance support related to, but not limited to current and acquired programming as well as development. Responsibilities include supporting the team with various FP&A related functions including estimates, budgets, variance analysis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support financial aspects of programming budgets, including Original Series, Specials, Development, and Acquisitions.
  • Key contact person for Acquisitions team for all cash related activities including cash payment schedules, invoice processing & tracking, etc.
  • Maintain and update Programming trackers within excel.
  • Support team in conducting scenario planning and financial impact of scheduling changes.
  • Other ad hoc projects and requests as assigned by upper management.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in finance/accounting or related field
  • Relevant job / internship experience in the finance function
  • Proficient in Windows environment; Advanced Excel skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Solid Excel skills, including ability to create complex models
  • Exceptional work ethic and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Team player with a positive attitude. Role requires frequent collaboration with finance peers as well as counterparts in various departments

Additional Requirements

  • This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.   • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need
