Headquartered in Lynnwood, Washington, Zumiez operates over 700 stores in North America, Europe, and Australia. We operate under Zumiez in North America, Blue Tomato in Europe, and Fast Times in Australia.
The Zumiez Product and Brand Services (PBS) team is responsible for over 30 unique brands spanning various categories, including men's and women's apparel, accessories, and snow/skate hardgoods. These brands are comprised of private label, licensed, and owned brands.
Position Purpose
The Product Operations Coordinator supports all PBS product teams by maintaining seasonal calendars, coordinating key project milestones, and driving process flow between teams. This role plays a critical part in helping the team meet goals and deliverables by keeping workflows organized and timelines clear. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter with strong administrative and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Works with inter-departmental and cross-functional partners to ensure deliverables and milestones are met
- Ensures all creative milestones are set, up to date, consistent, and maintained
- Facilitates weekly seasonal milestone and project Kanban meetings with the PBS management team
- Partners with internal and cross-functional teams to confirm availability and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Maintains and updates milestone information within our calendar management software (Airtable)
- Anticipates and manages potential blockers across calendars, projects, and delivery phases; escalates to appropriate partners and proactively collaborates on solutions
- Regularly audits product calendars to ensure alignment with cross-functional and organizational timelines
- Supports team managers with travel coordination and sample budget tracking
- Acts as a point person for troubleshooting or training related to design tracking tools such as Airtable or Figma
- Captures meeting notes and provides timely recaps to relevant stakeholders
- Prepares and maintains the Design Room for meetings and presentations
- Assists in organizing team offsites and internal team events
- Manages sample organization, labeling, and preparation for reviews, workshops, and presentations
- Actively identifies areas for process improvement and proactively recommends solutions
- Supports product sample tracking for various marketing and brand initiatives
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager
Qualifications:
- 1–4 years in a related field (e.g., design coordination, design or production assistance)
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Airtable (or similar), and digital whiteboarding
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be solution-driven and have excellent communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for apparel and design
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to sit/stand in a stationary position in an office environment for extended periods and work on a Mac or PC without limitations. Must be able to distinguish colors and inspect the material on the product.
