NeoGenomics is looking for a Senior Service Now Developer for their IT Planning & Strategy team wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This is a remote, Monday – Friday day shift position.

Position Summary:

As a Sr. Developer will lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative ServiceNow solutions that drive enterprise-wide service delivery and operational efficiency. This role is instrumental in architecting scalable solutions across multiple modules, mentoring fellow developers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support automation, integration, and digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and enhancement of core ServiceNow modules including ITSM, Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Enterprise Architecture (EA), and CMDB ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions
  • Build and maintain a robust accurate CMDB aligned with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) including data ingestion strategies CI class modeling relationship mapping and lifecycle management
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements translating them into effective user-centric ServiceNow solutions
  • Provide expert guidance to functional and administrative teams on ServiceNow architecture development best practices and platform governance
  • Ensure compliance with ServiceNow development standards security policies and platform performance benchmarks
  • Maintain strict adherence to GxP and SOX compliance requirements including audit readiness change controls and validation protocols for regulated environments
  • Lead planning and execution of ServiceNow upgrades ensuring backward compatibility risk mitigation and minimal disruption to business operations
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior developers and administrators fostering continuous learning and skill development
  • Conduct peer code reviews and ensure accurate and comprehensive technical documentation is maintained across projects

Experience, Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent work experience required
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow platform administration, configuration, and scripting—including custom application development and module implementation
  • At least 8 years of overall experience in an enterprise IT environment with a strong understanding of IT service management practices, systems integration, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) required
  • ServiceNow – Certified System Administrator (CSA) required
  • Service Now - Certified Application Developer (CAD) required
  • Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, SPM, Discovery etc.) preferred
  • Proven track record of successful solution design and implementation of CSDM, CMDB, ITSM, and related ServiceNow applications in large enterprise environments
  • Possess advanced proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, and front-end technologies such as HTML/CSS with experience developing and consuming REST/SOAP web services
  • Have a strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture including ACLs, data modeling, Workspaces, and Flow Designer
  • Work in Agile/Scrum environments contributing to iterative development cycles and cross-functional collaboration
