Monitors & manages vulnerability scanning tools; coordinates remediation efforts & ensure timely closure of identified vulnerabilities; assist IT support staff with endpoint hardening.
Provides input in the creation & enforcement of information security policies, standards, & guidelines; ensures security policies align with State standards & regulatory requirements; assists with promoting security awareness by helping staff with understanding security policies & best practices; provides input with risk assessments that identifies vulnerabilities & assesses the potential impact on the organization; collaborates with various teams to develop & implement risk mitigation strategies; participates in the development & execution of incident response plans; analyzes & responds to security incidents, providing timely resolution & analysis; ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, & industry standards; assists in preparing for & participating in audits & assessments; monitors security alerts & incidents; analyzes & responds to security events; proactively utilizes security information & event management (SIEM) systems; maintains comprehensive documentation related to security policies, procedures, & incidents; provides regular reports on the status of the information security program.
Stays current regarding new technologies in area of information security and cybersecurity; attends in-service trainings, workshops & conferences; works on special projects & committees.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supplemental Information
Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the salary of salary range 34 (step 1, $35.31 per hour) associated with this position.

DCY’s core hours of operation are Mon-Fri from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across DCY divisions. Employees may begin as early as 7:00am & as late as 9:00am, based on supervisory approval. This position performs work on-site daily at DCY’s office space.
Selection devices such as a structured interview, proficiency instrument, &/or assessment may be required for this position; Applicants must demonstrate proficiency with a passing score of applicable selection device to be considered for this position. All results will be maintained for 6 months. Applicant with a passing score will be retained & utilized for a 6-month period. Applicant with a failing score in the same position may not re-take the same selection device for a 6-month period.
