CTG is seeking to fill a Data Scientist – Artificial Intelligence opening for our client in New York, NY.

Location: New York, NY (3 days a week onsite)

Duration: 6 months

Duties:

• Design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions using Generative LLMs to enhance business operations within the Private Equity/Alternative Investments (PE/AIM) space.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for applying AI/ML and Generative AI to optimize workflows, improve decision-making, and automate processes.
• Apply prompt engineering techniques and Agentic workflows to drive the development of intelligent systems.
• Conduct data extraction, transformation, and analysis using Python, R, SQL, and cloud-based tools.
• Build and maintain AI models and pipelines, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and compliance with financial industry standards.
• Translate complex technical findings into actionable insights for business stakeholders, including LP relations, fundraising, and co-investment initiatives.

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in AI/ML concepts, with a focus on Generative LLMs and their application in financial services.
• Expert in prompt engineering, Agentic workflows, and data analysis tools (Python, R, SQL).
• Familiarity with Azure cloud environment is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years in Business Operations, ideally within Private Equity or Alternative Investments.
• Proven record of leveraging GenAI technologies to drive operational efficiency and business innovation.
• Direct experience working with Generative LLMs in a financial services context.
• Strong domain knowledge of PE/AIM, including terminology, investment processes, LP relations, and co-investment strategies.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
