Responsibilities Contribute to the delivery of testing framework, testing and debug tools, and privacy governance platform to ensure high quality and stability of privacy projects and product. Conduct privacy and security assessments of TikTok’s data protection system to identify issues that may compromise data. Develop a data protection system threat model to provide a summary of data leakage risks, assisting engineering teams to strengthen the protection system. Research privacy and security topics to keep abreast with the latest developments in the field. Conduct system penetration testing and vulnerability research to discover and verify vulnerabilities. Utilize common testing frameworks and tools to perform security testing.
Qualifications Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Analytics or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following: Gathering data to build and improve security or privacy compliance programs; Managing security or privacy compliance projects involving cross-functional stakeholders; Building technical and functional requirements to configure and deploy security tools and technologies across multiple operating systems; Reviewing, investigating, and mitigating alerts generated from security tools and technologies; Architecting and continuously improving security technology stacks, processes and procedures, support models, and cross-function interactions; and Experience in 4 of the following areas: (1) Data discovery and identification; (2) Protection of data throughout its lifecycle; (3) Data classification and privacy policies; (4) Data modeling and administration; or (5) Disk, file, device, and database encryption. Travel Requirement: Domestic and international travel required up to 5%.
