Description: Drive delivery vehicle with a weight less than or equal to 26,000 pounds GVW and transport materials to specified destinations. Adhere to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and regulations regarding the operation of the delivery equipment. This includes but is not limited to hours of service, securing of load, pre and post trip paperwork, etc. Perform additional duties as determined by the business unit manager.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Operate delivery vehicle (weight less than or equal to 26,000 pounds GVW) and associated equipment in an efficient and expense conscious manner.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicle as required
  • Complete pre and post trip vehicle inspections, insure that required preventive maintenance is completed on vehicles being operated and follow safety procedures
  • Insure that all materials are properly secured for transit
  • Be willing to work overtime as needed
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines.
  • Comply with all elements of the Core Values and use the Quality System, including ISO procedures, corrective and preventative actions, the customer complaint policy, and best practices to achieve continuous process improvements and ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a professional, courteous, respectful, ethical manner with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Use good judgment and common sense.
  • All other duties as required

Experience and Education Required:

Required (R) or Desired/Preferred (D)

(R) Read, Speak and Write English

(R) High school diploma or GED

(R) Must be at least 21 years of age

(D) 1 – 2 year’s previous driving experience in delivery vehicle (weight less than or equal to 26,000 pounds GVW)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Valid Drivers License

Maintain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate (physical card) in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)

Working Conditions:

Drive truck and deliver product within the guidelines of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, frequent use of feet on foot controls, frequently climbing in and out of truck, frequent bending, lifting, and unloading in all types of weather conditions (including seasonal temperature changes).
