Coordinates clinical experiences and school/community partnerships for KSC educator preparation programs, which includes communication and collaboration with EPP faculty, EPO staff, students, principals, and teachers, as well as ensuring compliance with both state and national standards. Duties also include support of national accreditation work, collaboration with the Educator Preparation Office and EPP faculty, support of Graduate Education programs and the Southwest Center, and other duties as assigned. All staff positions on campus support students and will be involved in student-focused activities.

Duties/Responsibilities

Placement and Partnership Coordinator (50%)

  • Collaborate with the EPP faculty (who lead the cultivation of sites) and EPO staff to coordinate clinical placement sites for Keene State College students.
  • Collaborate with EPO staff to communicate with program faculty and principals at partnership schools for placement requests, student–clinical educator matches, and confirmation emails, including required documentation, each semester for methods, practicum, student teaching, and graduate internships.
  • Communicate with principals and clinical educators about comprehensive placements each semester.
  • Communicate with EPP faculty and students about clinical experiences, expectations, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with EPP faculty and EPO staff on clinical experience eligibility requirements and placements.
  • Maintain and update Orientation modules for Student Teaching and Methods/Practicum clinical experiences.
  • Maintain and update the Orientation modules and other trainings for clinical educators.
  • Send and monitor the completion of clinical training modules for students and clinical educators.
  • Develop communications for students, faculty, and clinical educators regarding eligibility, placement, and issues.
  • Maintain and distribute comprehensive clinical placement lists.
  • Update and distribute Student Teaching calendars for each educator preparation program each semester.
  • Participate in Educator Preparation meetings (EPAC, EPAT, EPP, and more).
  • Support the Southwest Center for Educator Support.
  • Share Professional development requests with the Southwest Center for Educational Support and Educator Preparation Program faculty.
  • Collaborate with Admissions and the Graduate Program Coordinators regarding inquiries, application management, and matriculated/non-matriculated student support.
  • Support graduate and undergraduate programs through marketing and outreach.
  • Supporting School partnerships on alternative pathway partnership development in collaboration with Graduate Program Coordinators and the Southwest Center.
  • Collaborate and document Articulation of Agreements and MOU’s for School-College Collaboration.
  • Collaborate with faculty in building relationships & partnerships with schools and districts that facilitate clinical experiences.

Accreditation Support (State and National) (45%)

  • Support survey design, revision, and creation process for EPP programs and accreditation.
  • Monitor surveys and student tasks for completion.
  • Create documentation and reports to support educator preparation programs and unit-wide initial and advanced accreditation.
  • Collaborate on creating, maintaining, and updating modules and surveys (get approval and feedback from EPP), including approval and feedback from EPP faculty, EPO staff, and our Educator Preparation Advisory Committee.
  • Manage informational data and share data with EPP faculty, Director of Educator Preparation, EPO staff, and Assessment and Accreditation Coordinator.
  • Create program and unit accreditation reports with data from surveys, assessments, and other sources.
  • Send surveys and collect data to document the positive impact of KSC students in K-12 schools.
  • Provide auditing and continuous improvement of placement processes for clinical experiences.
  • Maintain/update visuals on the selection and evaluation process of clinical educators.
  • Update and maintain a visual graph of work and compliance.
  • Document the use of feedback and reviews for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate on designing and implementing clinical experience (various modalities, depth, breadth, diversity, coherence, duration), ensuring students are prepared and make an impact.
  • Serve on CAEP Standard 2 committee and support program and unit accreditation standard work.
  • Create evidence for CAEP Standard 2 and support evidence creation and report writing for initial and advanced programs.

Compliance (5%)

  • Maintain and update clinical experiences, policies, and expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with NH ED standards and policies, including clinical educators, placements, and clinical experiences time/expectations.
  • Submit clinical experience course documents to the Department of Labor for approval when needed; maintain Department of Labor Approval.

Requirements

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s and 3-5 years of Experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Written/oral communication and collaboration experience with colleagues and community members.
  • Data analysis and report writing skills
  • Technology skills and knowledge, including proficiency with Office 365, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Forms, and Excel to include use of shared calendars and contact groups, mail merge, and building and using forms.
  • Experience with creating, revising, and collating data from surveys using tools like Qualtrics or like systems.
  • Experience building online training modules in Canvas or other similar systems.
