Job Summary:
This position is responsible for setting up and operating a drill press to cut specified sizes, shapes, and designs to print according to work order specifications.
Job Description:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Operate drill press and perform basic machine maintenance to maximize production yields. • Set up the drill press and/or deburring machine, adjusting for each job. • Inspect raw material and completed parts for quality using LZB specification sheets and gauges • Keep all moving parts of machine lubricated. • Refills oil reservoirs when needed. • Operate forklift or pallet jack to relocate materials. • Inspect work visually for defects according to our quality standards. • Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment • Ability to operate equipment in a safe, accurate and efficient manner. • Control quality and waste, rework non-conforming parts as necessary. • Demonstrate ability to work independently. • Follow health and safety standards. • Maintain a clean work area. • Perform other tasks as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties. • No safety written warnings – safety sensitive position. • Ability to operate required PIV and maintain license. • Basic reading, writing and math skills. • Achieve performance standards. • Ability to lift 50 pounds. • Excellent attendance; 3 points or less.
