Qualifications: What you need to bring
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, including financial statement preparation required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
- CPA required.
- Master degree in Accounting/Finance or MBA preferred.
- Must possess strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Must be able to perform GAAP and SEC accounting research and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Must proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated and flexible.

Salary range: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00, annually
Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Manage the preparation of external and internal financial statements. Ensure compliance of federal government requirements and guidelines along with company policy.
- Assist with compliance in regard to the requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings and disclosure, including, but not limited to, the preparation of the Company's filings on various forms (forms may include, Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K.). Aid in the Company's compliance with FAS 123(R), including preparation of the corresponding month end journal entries and disclosure detail.
- Identify and research complex accounting and SEC related issues; report findings and provide recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee.
- Act as a liaison with securities counsel, financial printers (if applicable) and other financial professional service providers.
- Lead the maintenance of the Company's stock option plan; coordinate with designated department personnel and third party administrator to ensure future grants are properly processed and uploaded into the database.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual cash flow statements.
- Assist with the month end close process, including preparing the month end entries related to investments in subsidiaries and corresponding elimination entries.
- Assist in compiling supporting documentation to complete the Company's Annual proxy statement.
- Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
