Sales Director (Captives)

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • A Channel Director leads and manages sales unit through Channel Managers to accomplish business unit objectives via effective sales and account management strategies.
  • Manages and optimizes Sales Manager’s efforts in the creation and execution of marketing plans, identification of potential channel partners and the channel sales process.
  • Provides support services to operations management; site location, lease negotiations, build outs, hiring process, training, grand openings, sales, operations and marketing's.
  • Creates, implements, and manages annual budgets and quarterly revenue forecasts.
  • Prepares and presents financial, sales and operations reports to Executive Leadership.
  • Oversees grassroots marketing campaigns
  • Influence channel managers and partners to maximize profitability through company promotions, maximizing and optimum availability and marketing concepts.
  • Provides strategic direction to business unit to ensure profitable growth, while contributing to the company’s annual plan.
  • Accountable for meeting assigned expectations for profitability.
  • Ensure underwriting excellence in all agencies.
  • Meet daily with Sales VP to review Action Plan and current Operations Projects
  • Conduct Monthly Performance Evaluations to review objectives and goals, analyze results, and set new objectives and goals accordingly

About You

Education, Experience and Traits:

  • Bachelor's degree; Minimum 6 years channel sales experience in a business-to-captive sales environment.
  • Goal-oriented and motivated individual with excellent relationship building skills.
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years territory management experience, preferably in non-standard auto insurance.
  • Extensive travel required.
  • Other sales experience will be considered, but must involve account management at the regional level.
  • Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to lead, coach, develop and motivate to deliver outstanding performance
  • Skillful application of MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Google products
  • Sound business planning and financial understanding with the proven track record of interpreting and analyzing financial information from performance reports and financial statements
  • “Whatever it takes” attitude to reach sales goals
  • P&C General Lines License
  • Bilingual English & Spanish (required)
