THE POSITION

The System Support Specialist will assist the System Support Supervisor in presenting products accurately and professionally. This role involves testing, auditing, and implementing changes to our policy administration systems, which includes both a legacy system and a new system. The System Support Specialist ensures a high standard of user experience for both internal and external users and reports directly to the System Support Supervisor.

WHAT YOU DO

  • Create detailed test plan templates, outlining requirements and documenting results.
  • Conduct testing across multiple servers, including development, cycle, staging, and live environments.
  • Communicate errors, compliance updates, and upcoming changes to various departments.
  • Balance workload across multiple policy administration systems.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 5+ years of related training or experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Exhibits strong ethics and integrity.
  • Proven team player with a positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to succeed.
  • SOX Compliance knowledge or familiarity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of XML and text files.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance terminology.
  • Familiarity with APIs.
  • Knowledge of insurance processes and rating.
  • Strong analytical skills for gathering and analyzing information.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent documentation skills, both clear and concise.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload.
  • Equipment: a laptop (or a desktop computer) and an internet connection that meet our minimum requirements.
