We’re looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer with deep expertise in real-time systems, scalability, and cloud infrastructure to lead development on a groundbreaking 3D virtual conferencing platform. You’ll be responsible for defining the entire back-end architecture and technology stack, ensuring a smooth and performant experience for users interacting in large-scale, multiplayer 3D environments.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and develop a scalable back-end system to support real-time user interactions and live events inside a virtual 3D space.
- Collaborate closely with the front-end (Unity/WebGL) team to ensure seamless integration between the client and server.
- Define the technology stack, development best practices, and network protocols for the entire platform.
- Provide technical leadership, performance optimization, and long-term maintainability of the back-end infrastructure.
- Contribute to system reliability, observability, and deployment workflows for high availability under heavy loads.
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience designing and building high-performance back-end systems for real-time or multiplayer applications.
- Strong hands-on expertise in one or more modern back-end ecosystems (e.g. Python, Go, Node.js) and cloud infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of networking, real-time communication (e.g. WebSockets, RTC), and scalable architecture design.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide architecture decisions and collaborate across teams.
- Fluent English and ability to work independently in a distributed environment.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field in the exact sciences.
- Experience with AR/VR, 3D applications, or Unity/WebGL is a strong plus.
