We are looking for a Standards and Certification Engineer, who will be responsible for safety standards and product certification reports under the UL, CCC, CSA, and TUV. You will report directly to the Semiconductor Business Unit Global Lab Manager. This position will also have a dotted line reporting relationship to the local Quality Manager.

About the job:

  • Communicate with regulatory safety agencies on new and requalification of products and maintain UL/CCC/CSA/TUV files (power semiconductors).
  • Act as an interface between various safety agencies and various Littelfuse departments (i.e., R&D, Product Engineering, and Product Marketing)
  • Initiate and drive projects in collaboration with safety agencies
  • Managing Variation Notices
  • Negotiate project scopes to be as cost-efficient as possible
  • Track and report relevant communications, including issues, dependencies, and risks as appropriate

About you:

  • BS degree in Engineering (preference for Electrical or Materials)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the field of power semiconductors or packaging technology preferred
  • First-hand experiences in the field of standards and product certifications (I.e., UL94, UL1554)
  • First-hand experience in the implementation of projects
  • Willingness for further education and training
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with different time zones
  • High attention to detail
  • Team-oriented and responsive
  • Willingness and ability to travel
