The role of the Associate Director, Project Support Services is responsible for managing the assigned teams withing the Project Support Services Organization in GSS, including Project Support Services Managers, and Project Specialists. The end goal is to allow the Global Support Services Team to contribute to strategy, growth, scalability, quality, and overall efficiency supporting Signant Health’s performance. This is done in accordance to agreed responsibilities and KPI’s, while maintaining high levels of customer and internal stakeholder satisfaction.

The Associate Director, Project Support Services will work closely with the respective GPM and CDO leadership team, ensuring alignment of execution to defined scope and processes.

As part of our team, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Oversees delivery of all projects within assigned delivery team, ensuring that timelines are met, to the required level of quality.
  • Collaborate with GPM/CDO Directors or Senior Leaders for project delivery to ensure timelines and client expectations are met within budget while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Acts as point of escalation for delivery for resolution of issues and conflicts within the team but also cross teams.
  • Provides leadership in problem solving, defining the solution through to implementation.
  • Serves as the catalyst for process improvement activities and ideas generation within the Project Support Services team, and interface with Global Project Management or other stakeholders. Will be required to lead/implement improvement initiatives or actions.
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of direct reports, through effective people management including hiring, retention, coaching and development of team members. Has a strong focus on indirect reports performance and retention
  • Contribute to the strategy and supports the implementation for process development.
  • As part of the internal governance framework, implement and monitor effective Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for the Global Support Services (Project Services) team that meet the clients’ expectations, support the departmental goals, and drive the right behavior.
  • Facilitates career development opportunities through job rotation that culminates in readiness to execute project management competencies.

You’ll need to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Technology/IT or other relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years project management management experience, or 5-7 years overall experience in the field.
  • Must be able to direct activities of a team, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing company’s revenues.
  • Expert knowledge of project management principles and how to optimize performance in delivery and build long lasting trust relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional operational and business leadership skills, including change leadership and stakeholder influence abilities.
  • Understanding of and ability to influence profitability/efficiency of Signant Health services.
  • Demonstrated ability to diverse and high performing global teams to achieve results.
  • Must have excellent written, time management, priorities management, communications, decision making, human relations, and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English (will be required to write, speak and understand English to conduct day-to-day business).
