The Sr. Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and seamless cross-departmental workflows. This role requires strong strategic planning, leadership, and performance monitoring to drive operational excellence. The position is accountable for meeting daily production and quality targets, fulfilling customer requirements, and minimizing manufacturing costs through the application of advanced lean manufacturing techniques

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, adapt and interpret reports and budgets
  • Conduct plant capacity studies to align volume with requirements and delivery timelines
  • Determine production headcount through capacity analysis
  • Ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Enforce company quality and manufacturing standards.
  • Application of programs, and manufacturing techniques
  • Comply with internal work regulations related to safety, equipment care, and workplace conduct.
  • Plan and manage production schedules, ensuring optimal levels of quality, efficiency, safety, waste reduction, and cost control.
  • Coordinate shift activities to meet production, cost, quality, and productivity goals, while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and HR departments.
  • Lead daily operations meetings and communicate production priorities.
  • Ensure timely fulfillment of customer production orders.
  • Present monthly performance results to management and administrative teams.
  • Lead strategic planning initiatives for the operations department.
  • Ensure that succession plans for site positions are developed and ready for implementation.
  • Ensure and monitor compliance with the policy across all teams sites.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Master's degree preferably completed.
  • +5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Advanced knowledge of production planning and control.
  • Familiarity with maintenance systems and follow-up processes.
  • Proficiency in OEE, OA, and OEA metrics.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 standards and FDA regulations.
  • Experience with cost analysis, scrap reduction, and volume forecasting.
  • Ability to manage multisite projects and implement quality standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise systems (HR, finance, materials)
  • Involvement in technology or product transfers between sites
  • Soft Skills: Team leadership and development, Effective communication across departments, Conflict resolution, Strategic thinking and decision-making, Adaptability to change
  • Knowledge of process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ)
