TITLE: Oktoberfest Server Under 21

It’s about more than just bending elbows. Oktoberfest at Snowbird is a family-friendly affair with activities, food, and, of course, brews for days — weeks actually. The highly-anticipated festival begins mid-August and lasts through mid-October, taking place every Saturday and Sunday, along with Labor Day.

  • $11.00 an hour plus tips
  • Shifts: Saturdays & Sundays, August 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, and 31st. September 1 (Labor Day Monday), 6, 7, 13, 14, 20,21, 27, and 28th. October 4, 5, 11 and 12th.
  • Mandatory Days: August 2nd or 3rd for orientation/training, August 30 through October 12th weekends, including Labor Day Monday.

SUMMARY

As an Oktoberfest Festival Server Under 21, under the direction of The Special Events Management Team you will provide a positive experience to Snowbird guests and co-workers during Oktoberfest. You will serve all food & beverage guests, exceeding their expectations followed by food & beverage and sanitation standards, cashiering, serving food, stock glasses, bussing tables, take out trash and other duties as needed. In addition, you will setup and tear down the event as directed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Serve all food & beverage guests, exceeding their expectations followed by food and beverage and sanitation standards.
  • Complete any assigned jobs and work any assigned station in order to ensure events are successful.
  • Set up and tear down the event as directed.
  • Complete assigned side work.
  • Report to work on time and in proper uniform.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6 months job related experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Food handlers Permit – Required by training date. (August 2nd or 3rd)
  • Ability to follow directions, must be able to comfortably communicate in English, ability to work in either a team or individually without constant supervision.
  • Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Specific Shift: 10:00am –7:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays. Exact times vary daily but shift will fall within these hours.
  • August 2nd or 3rd for orientation/training
  • From August 9th - October 12th and Labor Day weekend, August 30th, 31st and September 1st 2025

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

  • Solid black pants (must fit waist, no jeans or baggy pants) or fingertip length black shorts, comfortable, dark closed-toe shoes, black socks.
  • We will provide one uniform shirt, apron, hat and name tag that must be worn everyday once you are clocked in.
  • Weather varies greatly from day to day so always be prepared with jacket, hat and gloves.
  • Events will never be canceled for bad weather, but we may send people home.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Stress associated with high volume sales, heavy crowds, and high noise levels due to live entertainment.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to carry trays and other items needed for service.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
  • Outside environment in a mountain setting: weather will range from hot and sunny to cold and wet, possibly changing conditions drastically throughout the day. Walking through heavy crowds, up and down stairs, up and down hills.
