Elementary Support Behavior Intervention Teacher

Overview of the position

The Early Intervention Program (EIP) Teacher provides instruction and interventions to EIP students, using co-teach, small group, and pull-out models. This person will work to support students who have been identified as EIP with grade level standards in both Reading and Math. This person may be responsible for collecting data, providing interventions, and collaborating with fourth and fifth grade teachers along with other EIP teachers to encourage academic progress among identified students.

QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a current T-4 teaching certificate in Elementary Education.

This role will:

  • Effectively support student acquisition of core curriculum and content standards identified by the State of Georgia and Hall County Schools.
  • Have knowledge and skills necessary to assist individuals, groups and systems through the application of academic supports.
  • Implement and provide strategies to support students in grades 4th and 5th.
  • Engage in on-going professional development and school wide meetings to increase knowledge and skills of instructional strategies to best meet the needs of students.
