Seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team!

Job Duties:

  • Follow, maintain and support safety protocols
  • Practice food safety protocols by following established GMP’s
  • Respectful communication and treatment of co-workers
  • Perform assigned tasks following established processes to maintain production line performance
  • Support and enforce all company policies and procedures and perform all responsibilities in a
  • consistent, reliable, and professional manner
  • Completes accurate and timely testing of products from batch tanks
  • Communicates batch disposition to Production associates effectively, and in a timely manner
  • Communicates to Director of QA all test results that do not meet specifications
  • Completes appropriate paperwork legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner
  • Completes testing and documentation of retain samples in a timely manner
  • Places non-conforming materials on hold as needed and provides timely communication
  • Performs pre-operational and allergen “breakdown” (post sanitation) ATP testing
  • Performs laboratory equipment verifications and calibrations per established schedule
  • Ensures retain samples are collected, tested, and documented in a timely manner for every batch
  • Ensures retain samples are stored and can be retrieved correctly and efficiently
  • Ensures individual product standard or comparison samples are available for sensory testing
  • Performs analytical and/or sensory testing on raw ingredients and finished goods as required
  • Performs and documents in-process packaging quality checks
  • Conducts GMP and other audits at specified frequencies
  • Conducts metal detector checks and reviews any findings as required by procedure
  • Provides analytical, sensory, and regulatory support to production based on established policies
  • Know, understand and follow production schedule
  • Communication with leads/supervisors/management for any issues that could/would impede production
  • Demonstration of assigned tasks to new/temporary employees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Completes daily sanitation sheet for workstation
  • Supports daily operations by continuing to focus on producing quality products in an efficient, effective manner
  • Maintains clean & organized work space – this includes common areas
  • Reports food safety and quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate action

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ideal experience:

Food industry, plant or lab setting, pH, titration, viscosity, basic lab experience. Environmental monitoring is a plus. Sensory testing (tasting and smelling food or bev products) would be ideal because they will be doing that in this role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
