Job Title: Structural Transmission Line Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Transmission Line Engineer who will play a pivotal role in overseeing approval activities on OHL Structural engineering deliverables across our team. You will support work acquisition and development activities and ensure safety by design assessments throughout the design process. Your expertise will help integrate and support the development of innovation within project solutions, and you will be responsible for creating design deliverables to confirm the outputs of the engineering studies to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee approval activities on OHL Structural engineering deliverables.
• Support work acquisition and development activities.
• Conduct safety by design assessments throughout the design process.
• Integrate and support the development of innovation within project solutions.
• Create design deliverables to confirm the outputs of engineering studies.
• Ensure all assigned work complies with the agreed budget and programme.
• Stay updated with technical quality management procedures, developments, and specifications related to the discipline work scope.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Transmission Line Engineer.
• Expertise in structural engineering and civil engineering.
• Proficiency in high voltage transmission line design and project management.
• Experience with transmission line and foundation design.
• Knowledge of power line and foundation design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Relevant Engineering Degree from a recognized university.
• Proven experience within a Transmission & Distribution Utility or EPC/EPCM organization.
• Direct experience with safety aspects of high voltage transmission line design.
• Familiarity with transmission line design codes, standards, and regulations in the United States.
• Construction support experience for transmission projects.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, and MFAD/HFAD/LPILE.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Experience delivering Steel Lattice towers and other transmission line structures.
• Ability to work as part of a dispersed and remote team using collaboration software like Microsoft Teams.
• Must have the right to work in the US.

Work Environment

You will join a small engineering office located in Lake Mary, consisting of a lead engineer, two mid-level engineers, and a junior engineer. The team collaborates closely in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
