Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Description

The Medical Assistant will support a pediatric clinic within the Oakland area. This role involves assisting two doctors who alternate their clinic days. The Medical Assistant must be comfortable working with children and performing back office duties. Responsibilities include rooming patients, checking vitals, updating health charts, and preparing examination rooms.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and ensure they are comfortable.
• Check and record patient vitals accurately.
• Update and maintain health charts with the latest patient information.
• Prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
• Support two doctors with their alternating clinic schedules.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in medical assisting and patient care.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy.
• Competency in rooming patients and checking vitals.
• Experience working in a pediatric setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM. The Medical Assistant will primarily support the clinic, which is located in the Oakland area. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
