Purpose of Role: Responsible for performing all aspects of molding, including producing molds, using daily schedules. Assuring correct patterns and pattern ID’s are used. Calibrate, operate and perform preventative maintenance on the continuous mixer to assure quality molds are produced, for setting cores in the cope and drag, operating equipment and computers to process the molds to the next station in a correct and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve and inspect the correct pattern per the schedule
  • Operate the sand mixer to fill the mold
  • Control equipment that will pick up and flip the molds
  • Place cores in the molds correctly
  • Operate mobile equipment
  • Flexibility to work overtime

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Good reading, writing, mathematical, and communication skills
  • Ability to cover additional shifts if needed (2nd, 3rd)
  • Ability to complete tasks in a hot working environment
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
