Position Overview
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, software, networking, phones and mobile devices. Responds to and runs diagnostic programs, identifies and resolves issues. Escalate issues to level 2 or 3 support when required. Install, modify and repair computer software.

$21.31 - $30.90 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Initial Troubleshooting: Handle basic technical issues over phone, email, or chat, guiding users through problem-solving steps. Use remote tools for troubleshooting including Lansweeper and Windows Remote Assistance.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve simple problems without needing to escalate to Tier 2 or 3 support.
- Escalation: Identify and escalate more complex issues to appropriate support levels.
- Documentation: Logs incidents and service requests and maintains relevant records:
- Identifies and classifies incident types and service interruptions.
- Records incidents, cataloging them by symptoms and resolution.
- User Communication: Provide clear and concise information to users about IT issues and resolutions. Following up with customers as needed to ensure any problems are resolved.
- Software/Hardware Support: Handle issues related to software installations, basic hardware problems, network connectivity, mobile device management and network/system authentication.
- Account Management: Assist users with password resets and account creation/access.
- Prioritization: Prioritize incoming requests based on severity and urgency.
- System Monitoring: Monitor computer systems and networks to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently. Contact server/network/application administrators when issues are detected for proactive resolution.
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus 2 years Help Desk experience.
