Mission:
The mission of the Texas Department of Banking is to ensure Texas has a safe, sound, and competitive financial services system.
General Description:
Performs highly advanced (senior-level) managerial work assisting with the administration of the daily operations and activities of the agency’s Administrative Services Division. Daily activities may be related to various accounting areas, including, but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, travel, payroll, and/or financial reporting. In addition, assignments encompass the procurement area to include working with procurement staff to ensure compliance with state procurement and contracting requirements. Other ad-hoc projects may be assigned at the discretion of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Supervises the work of others. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

This position requires the incumbent to primarily perform sedentary office work; however, mobility (standing and walking) is routinely required to carry out some duties. It requires the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions.
