JOB SUMMARY

Marriott International is seeking a Compensation Analyst to specialize in delivering novel functions and applications in HR, with a focus on compensation. In this role, you will develop and implement technical solutions within our Analytics Research team, building tools and quantitative models to address external market competitiveness, internal equity, legal compliance, complex data munging, and information extraction. You will support the development and maintenance of predictive models, leveraging advanced analytics techniques to enhance critical programs across Marriott’s HR Solutions.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

  • Minimum of 6 years in data-related roles, supported by a Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Skilled in statistical methods such as regression, time series, experimental design, and Bayesian analysis, and proficient in R, Python, or Java, as well as SQL in large-scale environments
  • Hands-on experience with tools and platforms like Jupyter Notebooks, Docker, Spark, TensorFlow, AWS, and SageMaker
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to define and communicate technical vision and roadmaps across teams

Preferred

  • Previous experience working with compensation data
  • Knowledge of upcoming pay transparency/CSRD laws
  • Familiarity Oracle APEX as a low-code application builder
  • Previous exposure to enterprise HR platforms such as Oracle HCM is preferred

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Design and develop full-stack applications to automate compensation and data analytics workflows
  • Implement scalable back-end solutions including APIs, databases, and server-side logic
  • Build intuitive front-end interfaces in collaboration with UI/UX designers
  • Document applications with flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, and clear technical writing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure application reliability
  • Conduct performance testing (stress, load, security) and optimize application efficiency
  • Develop software tools to support model creation and testing
  • Provide technical support for compensation-related data analytics projects
  • Collaborate with compensation teams to deliver tools for market data analysis
  • Create tools to support compliance with pay equity and fair pay standards
  • Apply statistical and data-mining techniques to analyze pay drivers and inform decisions
  • Integrate applications with compensation and analytics workflows for seamless operations
  • Design and implement efficient algorithms using appropriate technologies
  • Work with cross-functional teams to address compensation-related business challenges
  • Prioritize features and iterate based on stakeholder feedback and user testing
  • Present analytical findings and tools to stakeholders in a clear, actionable format
  • Partner with planning teams to define business problems and develop model requirements
  • Translate complex business processes into detailed specifications and prototypes

The salary range for this position is $108,300 to $173,400 annually.
