PROGRAM DIRECTOR II - (T227645)

Description

Directs operations of a programmatic function. Operates with a high degree of independence. Experience with data analysis and interpretation preferred .Responsible for program development, content and administration.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain database of postdoctoral alumni
  2. Conduct periodic outreach
  3. Identify potential employers and build and facilitate connections for scholars with alumni
  4. Analyze and interpret data.
  5. Expand current career and professional workshops for postdocs
  6. Evaluate workshops and other training programming
  7. Summarize and report data.
  8. Analyze data to identify trends in postdoc career outcomes at UAB
  9. Compare with trends at peer and near-peer institutions nationally
  10. Provide reports quarterly.
  11. Identify and recommend strategies regarding best practices in postdoctoral training nationally and regionally.
  12. Supervise OPE staff. Responsible for assigning tasks, approving time off, and contributing to performance reviews
  13. Ensure assigned tasks are successfully completed in a timely manner.
  14. Attend sensitive meetings and confidential discussions involving mentor/trainee issues.
  15. Manage programmatic expenses and correlate to overall budget
  16. Ensure expenses align with OPE mission.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary Range: $60,835 - $79,085

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Management or a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
