As a Security Officer, you will respond to emergencies, conduct routine patrols, complete incident reports, and support guest and colleague welfare while maintaining a calm and professional presence. This role requires attention to detail, integrity, and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to safety and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol all areas of the hotel, including guest floors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Respond to emergency situations promptly and appropriately (medical, fire, theft, disturbances, etc.).
- Monitor security cameras and access control systems.
- Document and report incidents using proper procedures and hotel systems.
- Enforce hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and colleagues.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service while assisting guests and colleagues with safety concerns.
- Support lost and found procedures and coordinate return of guest property.
- Assist with crowd control and safety during special events or high-occupancy periods.
- Participate in safety drills and ongoing training.
Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a security or safety role preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Must be able to walk, stand, and/or patrol for extended periods.
- Must have physical ability to perform security duties, including lifting and responding to emergencies.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- CPR, First Aid, or AED certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on specific responsibilities.
