Position Purpose Summary:
The E-Commerce Merchandising Specialist is a pivotal role that aims to drive growth in Special-Order sales through prominent Big-Box Retail e-commerce platforms. This individual will be responsible for managing the digital merchandising of products across various e-commerce platforms, collaborating closely with marketing, product management, BlueLinx branches, and manufacturing to optimize the online product assortment and content.
Key Responsibilities:
SKU Onboarding & Management:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of Home Depot's IDM portal to support the onboarding of new products, ensuring compliance with Home Depot's 6-step process, including Item Enrichment and Supply Chain requirements.
- Update and maintain existing SKUs to reflect product changes, updates, or enhancements, including items in the Maintenance phase.
- Coordinate with Bluelinx Category Managers and external vendors to gather product data and input it into Home Depot's Quicksheets.
- Submit tickets to Home Depot regularly to address issues, request updates, or facilitate product changes.
- Must have Quote Center experience. Collaborate with the National Account Executive to add items to internal programs and partner with branches to prioritize SKU additions.
- Product Assortment Management: Curate and manage product listings on the website, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards. Catalog expansion is a top priority to growth.
- Content Optimization: Collect and publish accurate product attribute information. Create compelling product descriptions, images, and other media to enhance customer experience, increase engagement, and improve conversion rates.
- Inventory Monitoring: Monitor product availability and stock levels.
- Pricing: Collaborate with sales teams to implement pricing strategies, ensuring BlueLinx products are competitively positioned for success.
- Trend Analysis & Competitive Research: Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to recommend product assortment adjustments and improvements.
- Rithum experience is essential. Will collaborate to spearhead the onboarding process for HomeDepot .COM test pilots
- Lead the onboarding and management of Bazaarvoice and Home Depot’s SEEDs review program, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product management team, BlueLinx branch teams, and manufacturing to ensure alignment and effective execution of product strategies.
Qualifications:
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, digital marketing, or a related field.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of Big-Box Retail e-commerce platforms. QuoteCenter and HomeDepot.Com is a plus.
Project Coordinatio: Responsible for creating and maintaining trackers to support the product onboarding process. Collaborate closely with an offshore eCommerce merchandiser to ensure smooth and efficient onboarding workflows.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with content management systems.
Creative Eye:
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to creatively present products to drive conversions. Must scrape and gather data from vendor’s on
Communication & Teamwork:
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and effectively work in a team environment. Will work closely with vendors and branches.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Knowledge of best practices and product content optimization platforms, driving both operational success and sales growth through strategic merchandising and content optimization.

- Manages and maintains product assortment offering, content, pricing, and performance compliance for BlueLinx products across all eCommerce platforms: Home Depot QuoteCenter and HomeDepot.com.
- Primary point of contact for all activities associated with Home Depot QuoteCenter and HomeDepot.com
- Expands product offering through eCommerce platforms by collecting items and merchandising attribute information and successfully publish to Home Depot and Lowe’s.

- Project management.: Manage projects by creating UPCs, gathering product data, and assigning OMSIDs. Communicate deadlines effectively with both internal teams and external partners to ensure timely project completion
- Analyzes key performance indicators to identify opportunities to improve the eCommerce experience and drive conversion.
- Ad Hoc projects for Lowe’s such as collecting attributes and enhancing enrichment on new and existing products.

- Basic understanding of merchandising principles.
