Position Details:

  • Location: Detroit OpCo, 2085 E. Michigan Ave., Ypsilanti, MI 48198
  • Compensation: $75,000 -$90,000 per year, based on experience with an annual bonus potential!
  • Work Schedule: Responsible for 3 shifts, Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
    • Subject to change based on business needs
  • Travel: N/A

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Manager position reports to the Operations Manager and is a mechanically inclined maintenance professional that has experience in Ammonia systems, Conveyor systems, Warehouse Management control systems, and Preventative maintenance schedules. A successful candidate will have the ability to negotiate and manage vendor relationships along with strong leadership skills, educator, decision maker, and problem solving.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build relationship with third party vendors.
  • Ability to solve maintenance problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where minimal standardization exists.
  • Ability to perform assigned job duties under constant time pressures.
  • Record data from main electrical panels.
  • Inspect various equipment and building areas, including, but not limited to, air compressors, roof and roof-mounted equipment and sprinkler systems, record data from inspections, and refrigeration systems.
  • Work with third party vendors on testing sprinkler system's water flow, tamper switches and sprinkler system alarms.
  • Assess fire pump and alarm.
  • Inspect all equipment and repair/ replace as necessary to avoid down time.
  • Managing relationships with interdepartmental individuals.
  • Design and construct carpentry items requested by other departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and address maintenance and operational issues quickly and efficiently.

Required Qualifications

Must have 3 years of experience in building operations, facilities management, or a related field.

3+ years knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and/or security systems.

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements, including fire codes, building codes, and environmental regulations.

OSHA Certifications.
