Description

Under minimal supervision, leads and assists in the resolution of complex problems and technical design gaps. Drive improvement initiatives that support the overarching global reliability of the company's systems, including capacity planning, failover strategies, performance improvements, reduction of Mean Time to Awareness/Resolve, and postmortems. Leverage critical thinking to improve best practices and provides enterprise-level recommendations that ensure reliability and resiliency. Future oriented. Drives strategic planning. Mentor those in less senior positions. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of work experience in information technology or engineering environment. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of work experience in information technology or engineering environment in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience.

Requirements

Must have experience with the following: Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Azure Resource Manager; PCF, Azure; Cloud Native Architecture and Resiliency Patterns; Monitoring/Instrumentation Patterns; Java, SpringBoot, GitHub, Jenkins, Cloudbees Flow; SAFe Agile development; Service Virtualization and containerization using GitHub Actions, AKS; AppDynamics, Splunk, PowerBI. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements. Position can telecommute from home from any location in the U.S. *Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education.*
