We are looking for a: Fatigue Engineer

Site: Pomigliano D’Arco (NA)

Responsabilities

The Fatigue engineer must have working knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance approach for aeronautics structures, fatigue of material, fracture mechanics, load spectra definition and generation, structural analysis, FE modelling.

Main Activities:

  • Definition of load spectra (hand calculation and specialistic tools)
  • Fatigue analysis of metallic structures
  • Crack propagation analysis of metallic structure
  • Definition of test requirements
  • Engineering evaluation of test results
  • Support for structural repair of damaged structure
  • Structural Health Monitoring

Main Outputs:

  • Analysis technical report
  • Fatigue analysis results (Fatigue Margins, Fatigue damage calculation, Fatigue Life)
  • Crack growth analysis and Inspection task definition
  • Request for Test document
  • Engineering evaluation of test results
  • Fleet monitoring report (SHM analysis data)

Main Interfaces

  • The Fatigue Engineer will work closely with various internal groups to guide the aircraft design from structural perspective: Loads, Stress, Design, Labs, Material & Processes, etc.

Education: Master’s degree in Engineering

Seniority: Junior

Requirements:

  • Experience with Fatigue of material, FEM, LEFM modeling software (i.e. NASGRO), Load Spectra generation;
  • Computer programming skills, with experience in MATLAB and Python;
  • Experience with testing standards, instrumentation;
