Your impact

Our team is looking to add a Cost Control professional to its Cincinnati, Ohio Life Sciences team responsible for award winning projects. This role is a hybrid position with expectations of in-office collaboration on a weekly basis. Proximity to the Cincinnati office is a requirement.

Performing presentations at all levels of management, Project Cost Controls partners with Project Managers to ensure complete awareness of project cost, risks and provide alternative strategies for mitigation / opportunities. Jacobs Engineering Group utilizes advanced Enterprise System platforms and data analysis solutions to support service excellence.

You’ll have the opportunity to make a huge impact. Specifically, you’ll perform the controls for the Program and all associated projects from the pre-concept phase through the detail design phase. This will include, managing the overall program cost controls and reporting function, interfacing with other project team members, including Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Sales, IT, Accounting and Finance, Tax, Contracts and Legal, to facilitate compliance with execution strategy and objectives with cost efficiency.

We’ll look to you to provide status reports and related project reporting analyses to company and client management, identify problems and coordinate with the project team to correct and ensure work is being coordinated between the other departments and offices to meet project cost requirements.

Other key deliverables will include preparing various project cost controls plans and reports, financial summaries, and related activities for Project Management. On assigned projects, you’ll be responsible for managing work processes and procedures for cost management, which includes evaluating the project(s) at each stage of development to ensure the cost and financial activities of the project team meet the client/contractual obligations. Additionally, you will review contract drafts and the related terms and conditions to confirm they meet project cost control requirements.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field
  • At least 10 years of project controls experience within an EPCM environment
  • Experience in cost engineering functions, including cost budgeting, forecasting, change management, earned value management and cost analysis
  • Skills with Excel and Pivot tables, Power BI and dashboard development, desirable.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Experience in the Life Sciences/Bio-Pharma industry
  • An understanding of the phases of engineering design for an industrial/manufacturing facility
  • Experience in EPCMV (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management, Validation) execution is a plus

This role is a hybrid position with expectations of in-office collaboration on a weekly basis (part-time in office and part-time remote). Proximity to the Cincinnati office is a requirement.

The base salary range for this position is $100,300.00 to $165,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
