Your impact

We’re looking for a data scientist with experience with innovative artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI and large language models (LLMs) to support AI solutions across the business for both government and private-sector clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive AI adoption across various domains. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a degree in computer science, AI, data science, engineering, or similar domain areas, as well as previous experience in consulting.

The chosen candidate will become a member of the Digital and Data team at Jacobs, helping drive innovation in technical project work for our clients in collaboration with subject matter experts, technologists, engineers, data scientists, project managers, and more.

Location: DFW area in Texas, United States

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong technical understanding for supporting AI, GenAI, and LLM solution developments/deployments across the business
  • Oversight, development, implementation/maintenance, education, and selling of digital AI and digital solutions internally and externally
  • Cross-collaboration between markets, variable business units, and geographies (global timezones)
  • Presentations to internal project teams and external stakeholders
  • Technical report writing and communications
  • Development, incubation, and scaling of new innovative AI and digital solutions
  • Strategic discussions/advocacy with leadership and path forward developments for various internal/external initiatives
  • Investigation, support and maintenance of existing and new AI and digital tools/platforms/solutions
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and learning across the businesses and domains
  • Abstract development and submissions for varied conferences/events throughout the year

Here's what you'll need

  • 3-5 years of experience in the consulting industry, or similar domains
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, AI, data science, engineering, or similar domain
  • Technical proficiency with AI, GenAI, LLM tools/applications/solutions
  • OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Palantir Foundry/AIP, Open-Source, or similar
  • Working knowledge with scripting languages such as python, typescript, R, SQL or similar
  • Ability to travel as necessary to meet project and client requirements
  • Task management experience

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, AI, data science, engineering, or similar domain
  • Experience in the AEC industry and Aviation market.
  • Technical proficiency with tools and platforms such as:
  • Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Palantir Foundry, Palantir AIP, AWS, Python, Power BI, GIS, and database technology (data lakes, vector database, etc.)
  • Experience with Geospatial data and software (Esri)
  • Experience with digital solutions, field-based data capture, and data management best practices
  • Experience with CAD design and engineering and/or construction related workflows

100,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

130,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 to $130,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
