St. Mary’s Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our dynamic Orthopedics team in Amsterdam, NY. In this full-time role, you’ll work closely with fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons, rehabilitation specialists, and a highly collaborative care team to provide high-quality musculoskeletal care across both surgical and non-surgical settings. Position Highlights:

  • Full-time, hospital-employed position supporting a high-volume Orthopedic Surgery practice.
  • Work alongside board-certified orthopedic surgeons in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
  • Diverse caseload with opportunities in outpatient clinics, inpatient rounding, and surgical first assist.
  • State-of-the-art facilities with advanced imaging, rehabilitation services, and minimally invasive technology.
  • Flexible schedule with a mix of clinic and OR responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive orthopedic care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the scope of practice, such as joint injections, aspirations, and assisting in surgical procedures.
  • Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, post-operative care, injury prevention, and orthopedic health maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated with the latest advancements in orthopedic care.

Qualifications:

Required Credentials - Certified and registered as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).

Preferred Experience - Previous experience in spinal orthopedics or a related field is preferred but not required. Prior robotics experience or willingness to pursue advanced arthroscopic techniques.

Education - Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

Skills - Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient-centered communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range - $118,757 - $130,100 (commensurate with experience).
