Job Summary: Operators are responsible for initiating a response to incidents and documenting their actions accordingly. Such incidents may include duress calls, power outages, medical emergencies, fire alarms, traveler assistance, employee terminations, inclement weather, terrorist activity, etc. These incidents will require the operator to interact with various high-level managers, security personnel, facility engineers and potentially law enforcement personnel. Management reserves the right to assign additional project work and tasks to supplement core functions.
Essential Functions: A Security Operations Center Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and responding to security threats, and incidents within and organization. This role involves executing security protocols, managing security systems, investigating security breaches, and implementing corrective actions to enhance security measures. SOC Operators also play a key role in developing and implementing security policies and procedures, conducting security audits and provide guidance on best practices to the security team. Additionally, they may collaborate with other security teams and law enforcement on incident responses and ensure the overall security of the organization. An ideal candidate for this role would have a strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, experience with security tools and technologies, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
