Lead Medical Assistant Position Summary

The Lead Medical Assistant ensures proper workflow and serves as the first point of escalation in the department while working as a medical assistant. Responsible for assisting with on-the-job training of new staff and serves as the first-line resource with regard to procedures, issues, troubleshooting and Epic. Under direction of the Practice Manager or Supervisor implementation of objectives, policies, and procedures for the operational aspects of the practice.

Lead Medical Assistant Position Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification from a NCCA accredited program preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a health care environment in a clinical role is required
• Experience with training, teaching, mentoring or lead experience is preferred
• Experience with an electronic health record required
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred

Lead Medical Assistant Benefits
