Job Title: Senior Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (SMRT) plays a crucial role in supporting the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility. This position requires the ability to install and troubleshoot various components such as photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders. Additionally, the SMRT will provide feedback on tasks within the Preventive Maintenance programs and complete assigned PMs, suggesting any necessary improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems.
  • Install and troubleshoot components such as photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.
  • Provide feedback on tasks within the Preventive Maintenance programs.
  • Complete assigned PMs and suggest improvements.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • 4+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • 4+ years of experience in blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
  • 4+ years of knowledge in electrical and electronic principles.
  • 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems.
  • 4+ years of experience with MHE safety standards according to OEM and safety standards.
  • 3+ years of experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Work Environment

Work in a large distribution facility equipped with high-speed automation equipment, mostly featuring robotic components. Be prepared to walk up to 10,000 steps per day and lift up to 49 pounds at a time. Performance tracking is based on data and numbers to ensure expectations are met without micromanagement.

This is a 4 month Contract to hire position based out of Plainfield, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.
