DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Director of Global Media & Entertainment Security, we're seeking an experienced security leader passionate about gaming to manage and grow our Games Security Operations team at Amazon. This role combines strategic leadership, security expertise, and gaming industry knowledge to protect Amazon's gaming ecosystem and assets while partnering with other Global Media & Entertainment Security teams to drive comprehensive security solutions.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of security professionals dedicated to protecting Amazon's gaming platforms, services, and operations
• Design and implement security architectures for game services running on AWS
• Partner with Game Development, Publishing, and Business teams to integrate security measures throughout the game development lifecycle
• Guide development teams on AWS security best practices and gaming-specific security requirements
• Collaborate with peer security leaders across GME-S to establish consistent security standards and shared best practices
• Manage security incident response and risk mitigation for gaming-related services
• Drive security awareness and best practices across gaming teams
• Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to Amazon Security leadership

About the team

As part of Amazon's Global Media & Entertainment Security organization, this role collaborates with security leaders across premier entertainment brands including Amazon MGM Studios, Audible, Prime Video, Music, Wondery, and other media properties. Global Media & Entertainment Security teams work together to protect Amazon's entertainment ecosystem while addressing the unique security challenges of each business unit.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of experience in information security, with 5+ years in leadership roles
• Deep understanding of AWS security services, architectures, and best practices
• Experience securing cloud-native applications and infrastructure at scale
• Strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Genuine interest in gaming and gaming technologies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Understanding of gaming industry security challenges and threat landscape
• Previous experience in gaming industry security operations
• Experience with game development technologies and platforms
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience playing and analyzing various types of games and gaming platforms

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $157,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $272,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
